You told me $500 to bring my existing import script over to OPENCART. You
claimed it would take 2 days of coding. I'm willing to go the $500.
Seriously, there is a better way for you to make money. It's important to
build a positive flow of emotion so the customer feels guilty saying no. I
don't know anything about you, but from what I'm reading you've been let
down a lot in your life. Who hasn't?

Forget about the past and move on. Wipe the slate clean. There's nothing you
can do about anything that has wronged you in this life other than surround
yourself with elements that won't ever let you down again.

As I told you before, I would split 50/50 with you on my jobs to build web
sites. I'm only charging this lady on the new site $500 to do the PRODUCT
IMPORTING... I've posted her site for her already. The script is ready you
just have to fine tune it... I'm charging her an additional $250 for each
different web site she'll need to use the import module on of which I'll pay
you $125. Should be a quick hit...

*This would be a great way for us to get going on OPEN CART and start making
money on a constent basis together.

Because it's educational toys, there will probably be at least 5 different
sites.

Subject: Quote #00012

I have resent you the $90 invoice that I sent on 9/28/09 from paypal.  Here
is my quote for what you have asked for in email yesterday.  If you want
more, define what you would like and I re quote the additional work.  This
is a flat bid.  So you can get approval for a fixed cost from your board to
proceed and any cost overruns are my problem.

Be sure to read the Terms and Conditions, this part of the quote is NOT
Negotiable, if these terms are unacceptable then we cannot move forward.

To: J-
you must have not read the quote,
there where three steps in the quote.

the part where i develop the import script is quoted at $450.

tell me what you want me to do, exactly so I can build you an accurate quote.

don't tell me about future work and how all that is going to work just tell me about this job and what you want today.

I will then quote that out to you. And if you don't like my price you can always take my quote to your other developers to see if they can beat the price.

This quote you sent me today is the only quote in writing I received from you other than the $90 one. You specifically stated it would take you 2 days and we capped it off at $500. You said you didn't have to develop the script because it was already built in shop script.
Dude: be a business man not a con man. Coders are a dime a dozen. The guys who make the big bucks aren't sheisters. They're straght up and they don't change their story. You are correct in assuming that with me, you could have struck it rich. Don't shoot the small game, it scares the big game away.
I'm not paying more than $500 to transfer my code over to open cart. That's what we agreed on when we spoke about it.

To: J-
again read the quote,

step 1 setup/configure opencart. I can't write a move a script over without a target.
step 2 covert script.
setp 3 deploy to live server.

since you still have not offered up more details on what you want. I will assume my quote is good and I stand by it.

if the price is too much go find a "dime a dozen" developers and have them do it.

your not going to get a fully functioning store for $500.

don't email me if you are stuck on $500.

if you are serious tell me exactly what you want, I will build a quote.

I have included an quote from earlier this year when I built
As you can see we defined what was expected and I quoted a price(removed price).  And included terms, this is how websites get built. This document is not very detailed simply because I have a 10 year relationship with the person I deal with and we don't need to get that detailed.  I bid the job at 1/2 the price the previous firm that did there website work.  So I challenge you to find a lower bidder.

As far as I'm concerned I've over paid you. You are too difficult to do business with and I suggest you get a professional negotiator or an agent to do your transactions. You're trying to charge me for a fix that PAYPAL made. And I paid you for fixing IE 6 and 7 and it still isn't fixed. I can not continue to do business with you.
If you ever come down to reality I may consider revisiting this scenario but to be honest, I can't trust your work because I can't trust you.
Best of luck,
